I just bought a great new product called the AutoGlove and have to share with everyone. I travel a lot and was looking for something to cover my newly painted hood and the AutoGlove is it.
Without sounding like one of their sales guys, it looks like paint once applied but is a special material that stretches to cover the hood and straps on underneath the hood so it can't be stolen. I bought the American Flag design for my blue GMC and it is awesome. I have already had 2 neighbors wanting to know where I got the new paint job and they can't believe that it is material and is removable. When it gets dirty, take it off and throw it in the washer! I hope the company knows I'm giving them all kinds of credit but seriously this is a great new item. It's very soft and doesn't scratch the paint which was the biggest selling point for me. I ordered on the companies website at x-tremesportsgroup.com...CHECK THIS OUT!

Howdy race fans as you know I write for auto geek in the motorsports area, well I must say after recent developments with Winston Cup which starting next season will be called Nextel Cup something I must say is hard to swallow. To bring in a huge company such as NEXTEL is a great idea but I feel that it's going to be very difficult to say Nextel Cup with out a little chuckle and snicker so race fans let's hear from you the fans..... WHAT DO YOU THINK OF NASCAR GOING TO BE CALLED NEXTEL CUP?????

Subject: Nascar's Greed Posted By: Steve KnudtsonDate: 4/8/2003 1:50:00 PM

The Craftsman Truck Series heads to Martinsville, VA for the Advance Auto Parts 250, the first of two races at the track for the 2003 season. Due to a contract, the series is only being televised on the Speed Channel, so unfortunately many of us die-hard fans of the series either have to find the local tavern that has it or motor sports radio station to hear it. Is this fair to do? I think not. Is NASCAR getting greedy? Yes, I think so.
Does NASCAR make the money that would allow them to put a few of the other racing divisions on non-cable channels? Yes, they do. I would love to see a good ASA race on Fox to see some of the future drivers race. Better still, lets see an ARCA ReMax Series Race on NBC/TNT, now that would be impressive. I know I speak for myself, but NASCAR is getting a tad greedy in my opinion, even on their web site. They offer TrackPass that starts at $5.00 a month for the lowest package and that is billed annually, so you would have to pay $60.00 right up front. Now this simulcast on their web site of a race used to be free. The two big negatives are one of course the speed of the internet connection and second you need a Real One Player program, Jave1.3, Windows 98 or higher and Mac users (need I say more) need other goodies.
As I see it NASCAR seems more concerned in making the almighty dollar, which hey we're in America and money is money, but share the wealth NASCAR and show America that you deserve the title as you claim to be the number one watched sport in America. With all those big sponsors on the cars and the races I think you could show some of the fans some of the next generation of drivers. Who knows it may be even profitable to you greedy powers that be.

Howdy Race Fans, Just wanted to pitch in my two cents and see what the general opinion of NASCAR's new 11 gallon fuel cell is it good for racing, is restrictor plates needed to make for better racing, In my opinion I think the 11 gallon fuel cell is a waste it forces the teams to be more over the wall which as we all know that is dangerous as well with the fuel is very flammable, so why do we want to risk the safety of the crew members and drivers? I think thats WRONG!!!! As far as restrictor plate races are they needed I don't think so I think it brings on dangers if a pack of the cars is together one car gets sideways it's possible to take out more than half the field cars. Is this what racing is about, I think not. So lets hear your feedback race fans. Steve Knudtson Car Geek Motorsports
